Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and line a 9×13 baking dish with parchment paper.
- Melt butter in a pan over low heat, then slightly increase heat to brown it lightly.
- In a bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Sauté diced apples in butter for about 10 minutes, adding cinnamon before removing from heat.
- Combine browned butter with brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth; gently fold in dry ingredients and sautéed apples.
- Pour the batter into the prepared dish and bake for 35-45 minutes until golden brown.
- For frosting, mix softened cream cheese and butter until smooth; gradually add powdered sugar and maple syrup.
- Let blondies cool completely before frosting.
