Ingredients
- 5 medium apples (peeled and chopped)
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 8 flour tortillas
Instructions
- In a non-stick skillet over medium heat, combine the chopped apples, brown sugar, granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, lemon juice, and water. Cook for about 10 minutes until apples are tender.
- Mix cornstarch with a little water to create a slurry. Stir into the apple mixture and cook until thickened. Remove from heat.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Cut tortillas into quarters and place on a baking sheet. Lightly spray with non-stick cooking spray and sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Bake for about 10 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- Serve the warm apple filling in a dish alongside the crispy tortilla chips.
