- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup chopped pistachios
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup caramel sauce
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in honey until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, cinnamon, cardamom, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients until just combined. Gently fold in chopped pistachios and walnuts.
- Roll dough into small balls, flatten slightly on the baking sheet, and bake for 10-12 minutes until golden around the edges.
- Let cookies cool on a wire rack before preparing the cream filling by beating cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth.
- Once cooled, spread cream cheese filling on one side of each cookie and sandwich together. Drizzle with caramel sauce and garnish with extra nuts before serving.
