Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8×8-inch baking pan by lining or greasing it.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together melted butter and brown sugar until smooth. Add the egg and vanilla extract, followed by the mashed bananas.
- In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gently fold the dry ingredients into the banana mixture until just combined. Optionally, mix in nuts or chocolate chips.
- Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan and bake for 25–30 minutes until golden brown around the edges.
- Cool before slicing into squares.
