Beef and Bok Choy Stir Fry is a vibrant, quick-cooking dish that showcases the perfect harmony of tender beef and crisp bok choy, all enveloped in a savory ginger-garlic sauce. Ideal for busy weeknights or when entertaining guests, this stir fry is not only delicious but also packed with nutrients.

  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: Serves 4

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 1 package baby bok choy, ends trimmed and rinsed
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce, optional

Instructions

  1. Gather all ingredients. Slice the beef thinly against the grain and separate the bok choy leaves.
  2. Heat a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat and add vegetable oil.
  3. Sear the sliced beef for about 2-3 minutes until browned; remove from pan to keep warm.
  4. In the same pan, sauté minced garlic and grated ginger for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Add bok choy, stirring frequently until wilted (about 3-4 minutes).
  6. Return beef to the pan, pour in soy sauce (and oyster sauce if using), and toss everything together until heated through (about 2 minutes).
