Ingredients
- 2 sheets of pre-made puff pastry
- 2 cups frozen wild blueberries (or other berries)
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- Juice of 1/2 small lemon
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 8 ounces cream cheese
- 2 tablespoons sour cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine frozen blueberries, granulated sugar, and lemon juice. Cook over medium heat until thickened, about 5-10 minutes. Let cool.
- Set your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- On a floured surface, roll out each pastry sheet into rectangles and cut into triangles.
- Beat softened cream cheese and sour cream together, then gradually add cold heavy whipping cream and powdered sugar until fluffy. Stir in vanilla extract.
- Place a spoonful of berry filling followed by cream filling on each triangle of puff pastry, then roll tightly from the wide end.
- Brush with egg wash (if using) and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving warm.
