  • 1 teaspoon chipotle powder
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ½ tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon white pepper
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large Dutch oven, sauté diced peppers and onions until translucent.
  2. Add spices and cook for 1-2 minutes while stirring.
  3. Brown the ground beef or turkey in the pot.
  4. Stir in tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, water, and tomato paste until combined.
  5. Simmer on medium-low heat for about 15 minutes before adding drained beans.
