- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 yellow onion, chopped
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 1 small head of cabbage, cored and chopped
- 1 (14 oz) can diced tomatoes
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 2 tsp Tony Chachere's creole seasoning
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Brown the ground beef for about 5–7 minutes until fully cooked.
- Add the chopped onion and bell pepper; sauté for an additional 3–4 minutes until softened.
- Stir in the chopped cabbage, diced tomatoes, and seasonings. Cover and let simmer for 20–25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the mixture. Cover again until melted (about 3–5 minutes).
- Serve hot as a standalone dish or with rice.
