Ingredients
- 12 oz smoked Beef sausage, sliced
- 1 cup long-grain white rice, rinsed
- 1 red bell pepper, diced
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1.5 cups chicken broth
- 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté onions and bell peppers for about 5 minutes until softened. Add garlic and cook for an additional minute.
- Incorporate the sliced smoked Beef sausage into the skillet and cook for another 5 minutes until slightly browned.
- Stir in the rinsed rice along with Cajun seasoning, then pour in the chicken broth. Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 15 minutes until rice is tender.
- Remove from heat and let sit covered for an additional 5 minutes before fluffing with a fork. Adjust salt and pepper as needed.
