Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 4 chai tea bags
- 1 cup cane sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup almond milk
- 4–6 squares dark chocolate, chopped
- 1–2 tbsp chai syrup
- 1 tbsp cacao powder
- ¼–½ tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
- Small pinch sea salt
Instructions
- Prepare the chai syrup by boiling water, steeping tea bags for 5 minutes, then dissolving sugar and adding vanilla.
- In another saucepan, combine almond milk and chopped dark chocolate over medium heat until melted.
- Stir in chai syrup, cacao powder, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and sea salt.
- Serve in mugs topped with whipped cream and a sprinkle of chai spice if desired.
