Instructions
- Prepare the cherry filling: In a saucepan, combine frozen cherries, sugar, cold water, and corn starch. Cook over medium heat until thickened. Allow to cool.
- Make the dough: Combine warm water and yeast; let sit until foamy. Mix in milk, sugar, eggs, and salt in a bowl. Gradually add bread flour until a soft dough forms. Knead until smooth.
- Rise the dough: Place in greased bowl covered with plastic wrap; let rise until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
- Assemble rolls: Roll out dough into rectangle, spread cooled cherry filling evenly, roll tightly, and cut into slices.
- Bake: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake rolls for 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
- Prepare frosting: Beat together butter and cream cheese; gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla extract while mixing well.
- Enjoy: Drizzle frosting over slightly cooled rolls and serve warm.
