Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 8 slices of turkey (deli-style)
- 4 slices of Swiss cheese
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup flour
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Pound each chicken breast between plastic wrap until about 1/2 inch thick.
- Layer two turkey slices and one Swiss cheese slice on each breast. Roll tightly and secure with toothpicks or twine.
- Set up three shallow dishes: one with flour, one with beaten eggs mixed with milk, and another with panko breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder.
- Coat each roll in flour, dip in the egg mixture, then coat generously in breadcrumbs.
- Heat 2 tablespoons of butter in a skillet over medium heat; brown the chicken rolls for about 4–5 minutes per side.
- Transfer to a baking dish and bake for 20–25 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- For the sauce, melt remaining butter in a saucepan, whisk in flour until smooth, gradually add milk, then stir in Swiss cheese until melted and creamy.
- Serve warm drizzled with the Swiss cheese sauce.
