Ingredients
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- Zest of 1 orange
- 1/4 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 4 oz dark chocolate (70% cocoa)
- 1 teaspoon plant-based gelling agent (optional)
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, heat heavy cream, sugar, and orange zest over medium heat until sugar dissolves.
- Remove from heat and stir in orange juice and vanilla extract.
- Place dark chocolate in a mixing bowl; pour warm cream mixture over it and let sit to melt. Stir until smooth.
- If desired, dissolve the gelling agent in warm water and mix into the chocolate cream.
- Pour the mixture into serving glasses, covering each about three-quarters full.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2-4 hours or overnight until set.
- Serve chilled and garnish as desired.
