  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. Cream softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time and mix in vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually combine dry ingredients with butter mixture, alternating with sour cream until just combined.
  6. Mix in whole milk gently until smooth.
  7. Prepare the cinnamon swirl by combining brown sugar and cinnamon; drizzle in melted butter to create a paste.
  8. Fill each cupcake liner with batter and add the cinnamon swirl mixture; swirl gently with a toothpick.
  9. Bake for 18–22 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
