- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (divided)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix whole milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla until smooth.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients gently until just mixed.
- In a small bowl, blend remaining sugar with cinnamon and nutmeg for the topping.
- Pour half of the batter into the loaf pan; sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mixture over it. Add the remaining batter and top with the rest of the cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Bake for about 45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
