Ingredients

  • 200g fettuccine or linguine
  • 250g shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 200ml heavy cream or half-and-half
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: pinch of nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions in salted water until al dente.
  2. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Season shrimp with salt, pepper, and paprika; sauté until pink (about 2-3 minutes per side). Remove from pan.
  3. In the same skillet, add more butter and sauté garlic until fragrant. Pour in cream and simmer for 2-3 minutes. Stir in parmesan cheese until melted; season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
  4. Combine cooked pasta with the sauce and return shrimp to the skillet. Mix gently until well-coated.
  5. Serve immediately alongside steamed broccoli and garlic toast.
