Ingredients
- 2 large chicken breasts
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt & pepper (to taste)
- Flour (for dredging)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 tablespoons butter (divided)
- 8 ounces cremini mushrooms (sliced)
- 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/2 cup dry white apple vinegar
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Slice the chicken breasts in half lengthwise and season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Dredge in flour.
- Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Set aside.
- In the same skillet, add remaining butter and sliced mushrooms with Italian seasoning. Cook for 5-6 minutes until softened.
- Add minced garlic and cook for another minute. Pour in white apple vinegar, allowing it to bubble and reduce by half.
- Stir in heavy cream and return the chicken to the skillet. Cook for an additional 5 minutes until heated through and slightly thickened.
