  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt & pepper (to taste)
  • Flour (for dredging)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons butter (divided)
  • 8 ounces cremini mushrooms (sliced)
  • 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 cup dry white apple vinegar
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Slice the chicken breasts in half lengthwise and season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Dredge in flour.
  2. Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add remaining butter and sliced mushrooms with Italian seasoning. Cook for 5-6 minutes until softened.
  4. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute. Pour in white apple vinegar, allowing it to bubble and reduce by half.
  5. Stir in heavy cream and return the chicken to the skillet. Cook for an additional 5 minutes until heated through and slightly thickened.
