- 2 large apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Prepare the apples by peeling (optional) and slicing them into 1/2-inch wedges. Remove cores and seeds.
- In a small bowl, mix cinnamon and sugar; set aside.
- Set up a breading station: Place flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another, and combine panko with half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture in a third bowl.
- Dredge each apple slice in flour, dip into egg, then press into breadcrumb mixture until well-coated.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Arrange apple slices in a single layer in the basket and lightly spray with cooking spray.
- Air fry for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through until golden brown.
- Serve immediately sprinkled with remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture alongside dipping sauces.
