Ingredients
- 2 pounds medium to large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 1 cup cornstarch
- 1/2 cup canola oil
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1/2 cup honey (or maple syrup)
- Zest and juice of 1 orange
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
Instructions
- Whisk together all sauce ingredients in a bowl and set aside.
- Pat shrimp dry and coat evenly with cornstarch in a large bowl.
- Heat canola oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
- Fry coated shrimp in batches for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Combine fried shrimp with warm sauce in the pan for about 1-2 minutes until heated through.
- Serve immediately, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.
