Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups water
- 5 tablespoons chilled unsalted butter
- 2 packed tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon fine salt
- 1 1/4 cups plain flour
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons melted butter (for brushing)
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- In a saucepan over medium heat, combine water, chilled butter, brown sugar, and salt until melted.
- Remove from heat; gradually add flour and stir vigorously until the dough forms a ball. Let cool slightly before mixing in eggs one at a time.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Pipe small bite-sized pieces of dough onto the sheet.
- Brush with melted butter and bake for about 30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Roll warm churro bites in cinnamon sugar before serving.
