- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup butter, melted (for filling)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar (for filling)
- 2 tbsp ground cinnamon (for filling)
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for icing)
- 2 tbsp milk (for icing)
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract (for icing)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, combine milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract. Mix into the dry ingredients until just combined.
- For the filling, mix melted butter with brown sugar and cinnamon until smooth.
- Layer half of the batter in the greased pan, followed by half of the cinnamon filling. Add remaining batter and top with the rest of the filling. Swirl gently for a marbled effect.
- Bake for 40–45 minutes, checking doneness with a toothpick.
- While cooling, prepare icing by whisking powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Drizzle over cooled bread before slicing.
