- 1 Tbsp sesame oil
- 6 cups vegetable or chicken broth
- 2 Tbsp white miso paste
- 1 lb frozen vegetable, chicken, or beef dumplings
- 3 to 4 cups baby bok choy
- 4 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1 Tbsp fresh ginger (minced)
- 6 green onions (thinly sliced; separate white and green bits)
- 2 Tbsp soy sauce (plus more for serving)
- 1 Tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 Tbsp chili crisp
- Fried onion
- Sesame seeds
Instructions
- Heat sesame oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add garlic, ginger, and white parts of green onion; cook until fragrant.
- Stir in soy sauce, broth, and rice vinegar; bring to boil and then simmer for about 4 minutes.
- In a small bowl, whisk miso paste with some hot broth until smooth; add back to the pot.
- Add frozen dumplings; simmer until nearly cooked through.
- Incorporate baby bok choy and remaining green onions; cook until wilted (1-2 minutes).
- Serve garnished with fried onion, chili crisp, or sesame seeds.
