Ingredients
- 1 lb gnocchi (store-bought or homemade)
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 small onion (finely chopped)
- 1 tsp dried Italian seasoning
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
- 1 cup cooked ground chicken or chopped vegetables (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Cook gnocchi in boiling salted water until they float, then drain.
- In a mixing bowl, combine marinara sauce, garlic, onion, olive oil, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Mix cooked gnocchi with the sauce mixture and optional protein/vegetables.
- Transfer to a baking dish and top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving; garnish with fresh basil.
