- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 packet French onion soup mix
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 large onion (thinly sliced)
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 soft chicken hamburger buns
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella or Swiss cheese
Instructions
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain excess fat.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and olive oil over medium-low heat. Add sliced onions and cook until golden brown, about 15 minutes.
- Stir in Worcestershire sauce and French onion soup mix, coating the onions evenly.
- Pour in beef broth and simmer for about 5 minutes to meld flavors.
- Mix the cooked beef back into the skillet with the onion mixture; season with salt and pepper.
- Spoon the mixture onto burger buns, top with cheese, and broil for 1-2 minutes until melted.
- Serve immediately.
