Ingredients
- 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 12 oz twisted pasta (gemelli or fusilli)
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic
- 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp dried basil
- ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes, optional
- Fresh parsley or dried herbs for garnish
Instructions
- Boil salted water in a large pot and cook twisted pasta until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Season chicken strips with Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Press grated Parmesan onto the chicken.
- Heat olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken strips for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
- In the same skillet, melt remaining butter, sauté minced garlic for about 30 seconds, then add heavy cream and chicken broth; simmer.
- Whisk in softened cream cheese until smooth; gradually stir in mozzarella, cheddar, and Parmesan until thickened.
- Season sauce with Italian seasoning and crushed red pepper flakes if desired. Combine cooked pasta with sauce; simmer on low for about 12 minutes.
- Serve topped with garlic Parmesan chicken strips and garnish as desired.
