Ingredients
- ½ batch rough puff pastry or store-bought puff pastry
- 1 cup fig jam
- ½ cup caramelized onions, roughly chopped
- 4 ounces goat cheese
- Fresh thyme sprigs
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400ºF and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface to ⅛-inch thickness and cut out circles using a cutter.
- Dock the centers of each circle with a fork and brush with egg wash.
- Add caramelized onions to each circle followed by pieces of goat cheese.
- Pipe fig jam into the center.
- Bake for 12 minutes until puffed, then return to bake for an additional 5–8 minutes until golden brown.
- Garnish with fresh thyme before serving warm or at room temperature.
