Ingredients
- 450g lean ground beef
- 30g butter
- 1 small yellow onion, diced
- 1 small green bell pepper, diced
- 230g brown mushrooms, minced
- 30g ketchup
- 240ml beef broth
- 225g provolone cheese
- 6 toasted brioche buns
Instructions
- In a non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef for about 4–5 minutes. Remove from the pan.
- In the same pan, melt butter and sauté the diced onion, bell pepper, and minced mushrooms until browned.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ketchup, beef broth, and seasonings; stir until smooth.
- Pour the sauce into the pan with vegetables and simmer for 3–5 minutes until thickened. Add the browned beef back in and mix well.
- Stir in chopped provolone cheese until melted.
- Toast brioche buns lightly on both sides before generously filling them with the cheesy beef mixture.
