- 2 cups lukewarm water
- 2 teaspoons granulated sugar
- 1 and 1/2 teaspoons instant yeast
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 and 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 14 oz feta cheese
Instructions
- Combine lukewarm water, sugar, yeast, and a bit of flour in a bowl. Let it rest for 8-10 minutes until bubbly.
- In another bowl, mix remaining flour and salt. Add to the yeast mixture along with olive oil. Knead for about 10 minutes until smooth.
- Place dough in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise for 1.5 to 2 hours until doubled.
- Shape the dough into a circle, crumbling feta on top before encasing it within the dough.
- Let it rise again for about 30 minutes before baking at 425°F (220°C) for 25-30 minutes until golden.
