Ingredients
- 2¼ cups all-purpose flour
- ¼ cup sugar
- ½ tsp salt
- ⅔ cup whole milk
- 1 packet instant yeast
- ⅓ cup melted butter (cooled)
- 1 large egg
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- Vegetable oil (for frying)
- Glaze: powdered sugar, milk, honey, vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
- In another bowl, whisk together milk, melted butter, egg, vanilla extract until well blended.
- Gradually pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients while mixing until dough forms. Knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth.
- Let the dough rise in a greased bowl covered with a towel for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.
- Roll out the dough to about ½ inch thick; sprinkle cinnamon and roll tightly. Cut into equal pieces.
- Heat vegetable oil and fry each bun until golden brown on both sides.
- Mix glaze ingredients and dip fried buns in it while warm.
