Ingredients

  • 2¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ⅔ cup whole milk
  • 1 packet instant yeast
  • ⅓ cup melted butter (cooled)
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)
  • Glaze: powdered sugar, milk, honey, vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together milk, melted butter, egg, vanilla extract until well blended.
  3. Gradually pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients while mixing until dough forms. Knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  4. Let the dough rise in a greased bowl covered with a towel for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.
  5. Roll out the dough to about ½ inch thick; sprinkle cinnamon and roll tightly. Cut into equal pieces.
  6. Heat vegetable oil and fry each bun until golden brown on both sides.
  7. Mix glaze ingredients and dip fried buns in it while warm.
