- 1 1/2 cups creamy peanut butter
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups milk chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons shortening
Instructions
- Cover a cookie sheet with wax paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine powdered sugar and peanut butter; mix until blended.
- Add melted butter, milk, vanilla extract, and salt; beat until you have a soft dough.
- Roll out dough on a floured surface to about ½ inch thick; use an egg-shaped cookie cutter to cut out shapes.
- Freeze shaped eggs for one hour.
- Melt chocolate chips and shortening in a microwave-safe bowl in increments, stirring frequently.
- Dip each frozen egg into melted chocolate until coated; place back on the baking sheet.
- Chill in the fridge for about 20 minutes or until chocolate hardens.
