Ingredients
- 12 large egg whites
- 1 ½ cups sugar
- ¾ cup plus 1 tbsp cake flour
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of cream of tartar
- 1/3 cup rainbow sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Ensure your mixing bowl is clean and dry.
- In a stand mixer, whip egg whites with cream of tartar and salt until soft peaks form. Gradually add 1 cup sugar until stiff peaks form.
- Sift remaining sugar with cake flour and gently fold into egg whites.
- Fold in vanilla extract and rainbow sprinkles.
- Pour batter into an ungreased angel food cake pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for about 45 minutes or until golden brown.
- Cool inverted in the pan for at least one hour before serving.
