  • 2 ripe mangos (peeled & diced) or 1 ½ cups frozen mango (thawed & drained)
  • 23 habanero peppers (stemmed & seeded)
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • ½ cup honey or maple syrup
  • ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ cup water (adjust as needed)
  • ½ tsp salt (to taste)

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and chopped habaneros; sauté until fragrant (about 1–2 minutes).
  2. Transfer the mixture to a blender and add diced mangoes, honey (or maple syrup), apple cider vinegar, and enough water to reach your desired consistency. Blend until smooth.
  3. Return the blended mixture to the saucepan and simmer on medium-low heat for about 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally until thickened.
  4. Taste and adjust sweetness or tanginess as desired.
  5. Allow to cool before storing in jars. Refrigerate for up to 7–10 days.
