- 2 1/2 cups flour

- 340 g butter (for frosting)

- 1/3 cup cocoa powder

- 100 g semisweet chocolate (melted and cooled)
- 1 tsp orange zest (for frosting)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare two 9-inch round cake pans by greasing and flouring them.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, and salt.
- Add eggs, vegetable oil, orange juice, hot coffee, orange zest, and vanilla extract. Mix until just combined using an electric mixer.
- Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans and bake for about 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Cool the cakes in the pans for about 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
- For frosting, beat butter until creamy; gradually add powdered sugar and cocoa powder followed by melted chocolate and orange zest until smooth.
