Ingredients
- 1 box Brownie mix (for 13x9 pan)
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 1/2 cups Light Corn syrup
- 4 Eggs
- 1/4 cup Unsalted butter
- 1 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla extract
- 2 cups Pecans (roughly chopped)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven as per brownie mix instructions.
- In a saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, eggs, butter, and vanilla. Cook over medium-high heat until thickened.
- Prepare brownie batter according to package instructions and pour into greased baking pan.
- Bake for about 20 minutes until set.
- While baking, thicken the pecan filling on low heat before mixing in chopped pecans.
- Spread the pecan filling over the pre-baked brownies and bake again for another 25-30 minutes until just set.
- Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.
