- 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)
- ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips or batons
- ¼ cup almond slivers or chopped almonds
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- 1 tablespoon water (for egg wash)
- Powdered sugar (for dusting, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut it into four equal triangles.
- At the base of each triangle, place about 1 tablespoon of chocolate chips and sprinkle almond slivers over them.
- Roll each triangle from the base to the tip, sealing in the filling by tucking in the edges securely.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and water, then brush this mixture over each rolled croissant for a golden finish. Bake for 15–20 minutes until golden brown and flaky.
