- 1 cup (3 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 6 large eggs, room temperature
- 2 tsp vanilla extract

- 2 cups cake flour, sifted
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking soda

- 1 cup buttermilk, room temperature
- 1 oz (2 tbsp) red food coloring, liquid or gel
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2–3 tbsp milk or heavy cream
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C) and grease a bundt or tube pan.
- Cream together softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing in vanilla extract and vinegar.
- Sift together cake flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
- Mix buttermilk with red food coloring until well combined.
- Gradually alternate adding dry ingredients and colored buttermilk into the creamed mixture until just combined.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 75-85 minutes, checking for doneness.
- Allow the cake to cool before preparing the cream cheese glaze by blending softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Drizzle glaze over the cooled cake before serving.
