  • 5 tablespoons butter
  • 10 ounces vegan marshmallows
  • 5 cups Rice Krispie cereal
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 10 ounces caramels (unwrapped)
  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 5 tablespoons butter (for caramel)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 6 ounces milk chocolate chips
  • Sea salt (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Butter a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large saucepan, melt 5 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add vegan marshmallows and stir until smooth. Remove from heat and mix in vanilla extract.
  3. In another saucepan, combine sweetened condensed milk, 5 tablespoons butter, and caramels. Cook over medium heat until smooth.
  4. Pour caramel mixture over Rice Krispie base in baking dish and sprinkle with sea salt.
  5. Heat heavy cream in a small saucepan; pour over chocolate chips in a bowl. Stir until smooth.
  6. Drizzle chocolate sauce over the caramel layer and add more sea salt on top. Let cool before cutting into squares.
