- 350 grams granulated sugar (for syrup)
- 15 ml lemon juice
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F) and grease a round cake pan.
- In a mixing bowl, combine semolina, sugar, baking powder, and orange zest.
- Stir in yogurt, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and score lightly for easy serving.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes until golden brown; check doneness with a toothpick.
- For syrup, combine water, sugar, and lemon juice in a saucepan; simmer until sugar dissolves.
- Once baked, pour warm syrup over the hot cake and let it soak before serving.
