- 1 C unsalted butter (softened)
- 1 C granulated sugar
- 1 C light brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 2 1/2 C all purpose flour
- 1/4 C granulated sugar (for topping)
- 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl or stand mixer, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and light brown sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time and mix well after each addition. Stir in vanilla.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Gradually combine dry ingredients with wet ingredients until smooth.
- Press the batter into the prepared pan evenly and sprinkle with a cinnamon-sugar mixture (granulated sugar mixed with cinnamon).
- Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden brown; check doneness with a toothpick. Allow cooling before slicing.
