Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp ground allspice
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup apple cider
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for crust)
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon (for crust)
- 2 tbsp melted butter (for crust)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice.
- In a large bowl, mix melted butter with granulated and brown sugars until smooth. Add eggs, then stir in apple cider and vanilla.
- Gradually combine dry ingredients with wet ingredients; mix until just combined.
- Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 45–50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- For the crust, mix granulated sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl; brush the top of the loaf with melted butter and sprinkle with the cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Allow to cool slightly before slicing.
