  • 2 Tbsp butter (melted)
  • 1/2 cup strawberries (diced for glaze)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine sugar, milk, vegetable oil, egg, and vanilla extract until well mixed.
  3. Add salt and baking powder; gradually stir in flour until just combined.
  4. Toss diced strawberries with 2 tablespoons of flour before gently folding them into the batter.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 50-55 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Allow to cool for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  7. For the glaze, mix powdered sugar, melted butter, diced strawberries, and vanilla extract until smooth; drizzle over cooled bread.
