- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 cups strawberries (diced)
- 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour (for glaze)
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 2 Tbsp butter (melted)
- 1/2 cup strawberries (diced for glaze)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- In a medium bowl, combine sugar, milk, vegetable oil, egg, and vanilla extract until well mixed.
- Add salt and baking powder; gradually stir in flour until just combined.
- Toss diced strawberries with 2 tablespoons of flour before gently folding them into the batter.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 50-55 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- For the glaze, mix powdered sugar, melted butter, diced strawberries, and vanilla extract until smooth; drizzle over cooled bread.
