  • 500g chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes (optional)
  • 3 cups cooked white rice

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, toss the chicken pieces with soy sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil until well-coated.
  2. Heat a wok or large pan over medium-high heat and cook the marinated chicken for about 5-7 minutes until browned. Remove from pan and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, add garlic, ginger, and sliced peppers; stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.
  4. Add the cooked chicken back to the pan along with sauce ingredients and stir to coat evenly.
  5. Serve hot over warm rice and garnish with chopped green onions.
