Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In a large bowl, cream softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla extract and cherry juice.
- Gradually incorporate dry ingredients and milk alternately until just combined.
- Fold in chopped cherries.
- Divide batter between prepared pans and bake for 25–30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool cakes completely before frosting.
