Ingredients
- 1 box strawberry cake mix (15.25 oz)
- 4 large eggs
- 2/3 cup vegetable oil
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 tsp strawberry extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the strawberry cake mix, eggs, and vegetable oil. Mix on medium speed until well blended (about 2 minutes).
- In another bowl, beat together cream cheese, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon until smooth.
- Pour half of the strawberry batter into the prepared pan, followed by half of the cream cheese mixture. Repeat layers and swirl with a knife.
- Bake for approximately 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- While cooling, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and strawberry extract for the topping; add red food coloring as desired.
- Drizzle over cooled cake before serving.
