Ingredients

  • 1 2/3 cups water
  • 3 cups sugar

Instructions

  1. Wash and slice the oranges into rounds about 0.3 inches thick.
  2. Optionally boil the slices in water for 5-10 minutes to lessen bitterness.
  3. In a large pot, combine sugar, spices, and water; stir until sugar dissolves.
  4. Add orange slices to the pot and cook on low heat for about 1.5 hours until translucent.
  5. Drain the oranges, place them on paper towels, then arrange on a lined baking sheet.
  6. Preheat your oven to 212°F (100°C) and bake for 15 minutes on each side until slightly dry.
  7. Once cooled, dip each orange slice in melted chocolate and set on parchment paper.
