Ingredients
- 6 fresh oranges
- 1 2/3 cups water
- 3 cups sugar
- Spices (cinnamon, cloves, star anise)
- Your preferred chocolate for dipping
Instructions
- Wash and slice the oranges into rounds about 0.3 inches thick.
- Optionally boil the slices in water for 5-10 minutes to lessen bitterness.
- In a large pot, combine sugar, spices, and water; stir until sugar dissolves.
- Add orange slices to the pot and cook on low heat for about 1.5 hours until translucent.
- Drain the oranges, place them on paper towels, then arrange on a lined baking sheet.
- Preheat your oven to 212°F (100°C) and bake for 15 minutes on each side until slightly dry.
- Once cooled, dip each orange slice in melted chocolate and set on parchment paper.
