  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 medium banana (mashed)
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, eggs, brown sugar, white sugar, salt, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
  3. Add the flour and mashed banana to the mixture. Stir until combined.
  4. Fold in the two cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips gently.
  5. Grease a 9 x 13 baking pan and spread the brownie batter evenly.
  6. Sprinkle an additional 1/4 cup of chocolate chips on top.
  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean from the center.
  8. Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.
