- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg (optional)
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Wash and core the apples, then cut each into fry shapes about 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick.
- Pat apple fries dry with a paper towel.
- In a bowl, mix sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg (if using), and salt.
- Toss apple fries in melted butter or oil until coated, then sprinkle with the cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Arrange fries on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.
- Bake for 15-25 minutes until tender and golden brown.
