  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan and line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth. Mix in melted butter and brown sugar until combined. Stir in eggs, sour cream, and vanilla.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined; fold in chocolate chips.
  5. Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan and sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top if desired.
  6. Bake for 50–60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let cool for 10 minutes before transferring to a rack.
