Instructions
- Wash and slice the strawberries, placing half of them into a medium-sized pot.
- Add sugar and lemon juice to the pot, stirring gently to combine.
- Heat the mixture until it reaches a gentle boil, stirring occasionally for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Add the remaining sliced strawberries and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and allow to cool completely before transferring to a mason jar for storage.
