  • 2 cups apple cider
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 large onion (chopped)

  • 6 large potatoes
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese (shredded)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium-high heat. Season sirloin cubes with salt and pepper, then brown them for about 6-8 minutes.
  3. Add onions and carrots; cook until softened, about 4-5 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle flour into the skillet, stir well, then pour in apple cider and beef broth, bringing it to a boil.
  5. Transfer to an oven-safe pan, cover tightly, and bake for 1 to 1½ hours.
  6. Meanwhile, boil potatoes in salted water until tender. Drain and mash with milk, sour cream, and cheddar until smooth.
